Note:  Your printer or fax machine must be reset after you install a new drum.  Your printer or fax machine will not recognize that a new drum has been installed until it has been reset.

Fax Machines(DCP Machines also): 

After replacing the drum unit, keep the front cover open and press “clear”.  The display will show “Replace drum? 1. Yes 2. No” . Press “1”.  The display will show “Accepted.”  Close the front cover.  The counter is reset.

 MFC9700 Only: 

After replacing the drum unit, keep the front cover open and press the right arrow key.  The display will show “Replace Drum? 1. Yes 2. No”.  Press “1”.”  Close the front cover.  The counter is reset.
